In addition to wholesale, CEAGESP is also present in the retail market of horticulture produce, flowers, poultry, and other products through services known as “Varejões” (Big Retail Markets). The first Retail Market began its activities within the Terminal Warehouse of São Paulo (ETSP) in September 1979. ESTP’s Retail Markets are currently held three times a week: every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Similar to the street markets, but with guaranteed quality and controlled prices, CEAGESP's Retail markets move almost 2 thousand tons of products per month. In the interior, the Retail Markets are held in the Sorocaba unit.
The Capital’s Center also holds the largest flower and plant market in the country. Held in an area of approximately 20 thousand m2, the Flower Market of CEAGESP gathers about 1,100 producers that sell wholesale and retail, a large diversity of vase and cut flowers, plants, seedlings, shrubs, and a variety of accessories for ornamentation and gardening. The Flower Market takes place every Tuesday and Friday in the MLP Pavilion, from 5 am to 10:30 am. In the countryside, the Flower Markets are held in the centers of Araçatuba, Bauru, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto, São José dos Campos, São José do Rio Preto and Sorocaba.
In addition to selling horticulture produce, CEAGESP’s Center in the capital of São Paulo is also the point of reference in the sale of fish. Integrating about 70 fishing companies and sellers, it is an important wholesale center. In 2008, the Primary Fish Inspection and the Ice Plant of the Capital’s Center were inaugurated.
